THREE months after Marcus Innocent was gunned down in Woolwich, an eighth man has been charged with his murder.

The 35-year-old, of Kingsman Street, was fatally shot in the stomach in Lord Warwick Street on the evening of November 19 last year.

Patrick Brennan, 22, of Appleton Road, Eltham, was charged with the crime yesterday and is due to appear at Bexley Magistrates’ Court today.

The seven other men accused of Mr Innocent’s murder are:

Abdirizak Ibrahim Abdi, 24, of Hervey Road, Shooters Hill, who was due to appear at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on February 12.

Daniel Burgess, aged 32, of Weardale Avenue, Dartford, appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Christmas Eve last year.

He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on March 7.

Perry Lee Sutton, of Green Street Green Road, Dartford, appeared at Bexleyheath Magistrates' Court on 24 January 24.

The 24-year-old was charged with the murder of Marcus Innocent and also possession of a self loading pump action smooth bore gun.

He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on a date which has not yet been set.

Brothers Richard and Jack Brennan, aged 28 and 21 respectively, from the Greenwich area appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on January 25.

They were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on a date which has not yet been set.

Raffael Scialo, aged 24, from Greenwich, appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court on January 31.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Old Bailey on a date which has not yet been set.

And Dervis Bayram, aged 23, appeared at Bexleyheath Magistrates’ Court on Monday (February 11).

Details of his next appearance date are not yet known.

Twelve other people have been arrested in connection with the inquiry.
