Love will be in the air later when a huge projection illuminates Enfield Borough Council’s headquarters.
A 7,000-watt light will illuminate Enfield Civic Centre in Enfield Town on Valentine’s Day telling passers-by to love their heart.
The projection, which will light the building in Silver Street between 5.30pm and 6pm, aims to show the borough’s support for charity the British Heart Foundation, which combats heart disease.
A town crier will also march through Church Street between 12pm and 2pm to tell people to look after their heart.
Councillor Christine Hamilton, cabinet member for community well- being and public health, said: “Heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer taking the lives of one in six men and one in nine women – that’s up to 700 deaths a year in Enfield, an average of almost two a day.
“We shall be asking people to support the charity with donations and handing out leaflets with health tips and information.”
