A primary school caretaker charged with sexually abusing a seven and a nine-year-old girl is due to appear at Wood Green Crown Court today.
John Lyon, who works at Saint Andrew’s Church of England Primary School in Churchbury Lane, is expected to appear at the court in Lordship Lane for a preliminary hearing at 10am.
The 39-year-old has been suspended from his job after being charged with three counts of sexual assault, including two against a minor under the age of 13, and one common assault charge.
He was banned from entering a 200 metre radius of the school after appearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on January 29.
However, the charges do not relate to pupils at the school.
