BUDDING entrepreneurs are invited to set up their own market stall in Dartford for free.
As part of the town’s role as a Portas Town, Dartford Council is inviting people with a great business idea to make it a reality and trade from a stall at one of the weekly markets.
As part of the one-off promotion, the council says it will cover all administration costs and all the trader must do is roll up and sell.
Leader of the council Councillor Jeremy Kite said: “It’s great to be able to help local people take the first step to making their business vision a reality.
“After all, some of Britain’s biggest retailers, such as Marks and Spencer, started life as a small market stall so who knows where this could lead?”
Dartford’s markets run on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Applications should be made to markets@dartford.gov.uk or call 01322 343812.
