Victoria is my niece and if the Kent County Council had reduced the speed limit along London Road Swanley, As requested over a number of years then perhap's Vicky may have survived this accident as persons hit by a car doing 30 are more likely to survive than being hit by a car doing 40, so come on Newsshopper help campaign for a reduction in the speed limit so no else has to die, my thoughts are with the family at this time and I wish them all the best,

I totally agree, the speed limit for that stretch of road should be reduced, I use that road a lot and never do more than 35mph along there and have been over taken for not going faster!!! The council need to take action to stop more serious and fatal accidents like this.
My thoughts go out to all that knew Victoria x

A tragic accident & a girl that had her whole life ahead of her, As a daily user of this road and a parent I totally agree with the comments, 40mph is simply too fast for this very busy road, The crossings are inadequate and the islands that have been put there just plain dangerous, The road needs slowing down with measure's to prevent speeding and more "proper" pedestrian crossings, Don't let another loss of life be in vain, Honour this young girl by making a change and preventing another tragic loss and another family having to suffer such devastation.
