Future of children's services up for consultation

People can have their say on the future of children’s services in the borough.
Richmond Council has drawn up draft proposals for a range of services for children up to the age of 19, including child protection, adoption, fostering, childcare, educational support, disabled services leisure activities and youth services.
The plans are due to are being asked to comment on the plans before they are agreed and published in April.
Councillor Christine Percival, cabinet member for education, youth and children’s services, said: “This plan will form the foundation of all the work that we do with children and young people in the borough for the next four years.
“It is important for residents to contribute in order to make sure that it is focused on the right services for our children and young people, and so that it meets the needs and expectations of local people in the borough.”
