Organisers of a charity walk that takes in some of London’s Royal parks are hoping to make this year’s event the biggest ever.

The Big Fun Walk, organised by the North London Hospice, starts in East Finchley and winds for 7.5 miles through spectacular London parks to Storey’s Gate in Westminster.

Entries are being taken now and organisers are hoping to get 1,500 people to sign up.

Last year’s walk raised more than £150,000 for the hospice, which provides palliative care for patients at home and at its two centres in Finchley and Enfield.

Community fundraiser Natalie Gordon said: "We really want to make this year's walk the biggest and best yet.

"Last year raised an incredible amount for the hospice. We hope the community will once again get involved and support us this year. We look forward to seeing everyone walking together on the day.”

There is no registration fee but walkers are asked to raise a minimum of £40 sponsorship for the hospice.
