DETECTIVES investigating the murder of Marcus Innocent in Woolwich in November last year have charged a second person.
Perry Sutton, of Green Street Green Road, Dartford, is set to appear at Bexleyheath Magistrates’ Court today (January 24) charged with the murder.
The jobless 24-year-old is also charged with possession of a self loading pump action smooth bore gun.
Previously Daniel Burgess, aged 32, of Weardale Avenue, Dartford, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Christmas Eve charged with Mr Innocent’s murder.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on March 7.
Thirty-five-year-old Mr Innocent, of Kingsman Street, Woolwich, was shot in Lord Warwick Street, Woolwich, on November 19 last year.
Police were called around 6.20pm and London Ambulance Service attended but Mr Innocent was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination at Greenwich Mortuary on November 20 gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the stomach area.
