A new telephone service has been launched for residents to get medical help fast.
Sutton and Merton PCT has launched its 111 service which is free to call from landlines.
Residents can now call 111 to get healthcare advice when it is not a 999 emergency.
Dr Phil Jacobs, Sutton NHS 111 Clinical Lead, said: "When you call 111, you will be assessed straight away. If it is an emergency, an ambulance will be despatched immediately without the need for any further assessment."
The line will be staffed round the clock, 365 days a year.
