Enfield is yet to see the last of its chilly spell, with more snow expected to sweep through the borough this afternoon.
Weather forecasts warn between one and three centimetres of snow is likely to fall today from 4pm, and further dustings are expected to cover the borough on Wednesday and Friday.
The end is not yet in sight, as temperatures could plummet to a bracing minus five degrees tonight, with fog and mist also on their way.
Three days of snow has brought most of Enfield's schools to a standstill, with 71 forced to close today due to the difficult travel conditions and freezing temperatures.
Fourteen children’s centres and after school clubs have also closed today due to the winter weather.
The temperature is due to peak at one degrees tomorrow afternoon, and predictions suggest it will then barely creep above freezing in the coming week.
Gritters are out in the borough to prevent the roads from becoming treacherous due to the freezing weather and icy conditions.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for today and tomorrow, asking people in London to be aware of adverse weather conditions.
