Sainsbury’s Crystal Palace are asking customers to donate any unwanted camping equipment for a school trip.
The Whitehorse Lane store have teamed up with The Priory School, South Norwood who are looking for camping equipment to use on a school trip.
The school helps students with a range of learning difficulties. Some post-16 students are currently working on a Towards Independence course which helps students develop their personal skills.
Students are meant to go camping as part of the course but the school doesn’t have any equipment.
The store is hoping to collect equipment from customers to give to the school.
A store spokeswoman said: “When I heard that The Priory were in need of camping equipment, I thought who better to ask for help than our wonderful Sainsbury’s customers and the readers of the Croydon Guardian.”
