Bexley's newest young football team enjoy successful first season
7:58am Friday 11th January 2013 in News By Alan Woods
The Business Academy Bexley All Stars.
IT HAS been a successful first season for the newest under 7s football team in Bexley.
The Business Academy Bexley All Stars have only lost five of their 26 matches since September, despite all the boys having no experience of playing in a team before.
One of the young footballers has also been spotted by an Arsenal scout and has a trial lined up in May.
Team manager Marlon Button said: “What started off as a bit of a kick-about on a Saturday morning has turned into a dream team. “We quickly realised we had a very talented bunch of players who had formed a special bond and who wanted to do more than kick a ball about.”
The team was formed following the success of the Saturday morning soccer school run at the academy, in Yarnton Way.
BAB All Stars are planning to launch a second under 6’s team in September.
