Children across the borough can enjoy new play facilities after a £150,000 upgrade of three playgrounds.

The playgrounds in Tangier Green in North Richmond, Craneford Way in Twickenham and Ham Village Green have been revamped after Richmond Council consulted with parents and residents.

Councillor Virginia Morris cabinet member for environment said: “I’m delighted that the playgrounds are now finished and ready for children to enjoy in the new year.

“The all in one survey showed us that parks and open spaces are very important to residents and visitors alike.

“Many families visit our parks every day to give their young ones a chance to play, so it was important that we made sure the playgrounds were of the highest standards.

“The playgrounds have now been fitted with new, improved equipment which will give the borough’s children a few more exciting and fun options to play safely.”
