Man taken to hospital after car crashes into tree
A man was taken to hospital after his car hit a tree in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The car collided with a tree several metres off Oaklawn Road, Leatherhead, at about 3.30am.
The injured man managed to get out of the car before firefighters arrived at the scene.
A Leatherhead fire station spokesman said: "The car was very damaged.
"It was quite high impact. The car won’t be going back in the road again.
He added: "The road was closed for a while."
