A FOOTBALL club held an awards ceremony to celebrate how its youth scheme has helped young people better themselves and their community.
Crystal Palace Foundation, which is part of Crystal Palace FC, has been running the Breaking Barriers project in Penge and Anerley for the past three years, with more than 500 children taking part.
And the event at Crystal Palace Ground saw some of its most recent successes honoured.
Some received FA level 1 certificates, certifying them as football coaches, others received community finance for their youth business proposals, gaining funding from the Football Foundation and Affinity Sutton housing association.
Breaking Barriers is currently working on securing funds to continue the project in the future.
