Bromley report says Squeeze Section is only gang threat to borough

A GANG called Squeeze Section is the only one which could pose a threat in the borough, according to a Bromley Council report.

But the document says the threat is not thought to be significant as members mainly offend in other boroughs.

It is said to have emerged from the breakup of Penge Block, which is no longer considered to be an operational street gang.

Teenager Ben Hitchcock was a member of Penge Block and was murdered in a gang fight on June 23, 2007.

The report about how to tackle gangs in Bromley was discussed at a meeting of the council’s public protection and safety policy development and scrutiny committee tonight (November 27).

Police intelligence reports there are no gangs as defined by the Met Police operating in Bromley.

I'd like to see all the gangs rounded up, put into an arena and told to fight to the death. I guarantee it would be a the greatest crowd-puller since the days of Ancient Rome.

Just to add a bit of excitement, I'd also sling in all those dangerous dogs that scummy gang members like to own, as well as all the child fiddlers, muggers and burglars.

As Hitchcock (see picture) discovered to his cost, if you live by the sword you will eventually die by the sword.

Personally, I would love to see all the cretinous filth that defile our society die in a pool of their own blood.

And at the end of the arena have a great big pit to just dump the corpses in & save the cost of disposing of them

Jeremy Clarkson made a good suggestion, these scum think carrying a knife or gun makes then more macho - so anyone caught gets castrated!

I don't always agree with Mr Clarkson - it's a free country after all and I'm sure that Jeremy would be the first to agree that I am entitled to my opinion - but he is right on the button this time!

It's a shame we can't see a photograph of Hitch in his preferred attire when he was alive: baseball cap, trainers ... etc etc.

Nobody likes gangs, violence, etc (except of course for gang members) but do any of you idiots actually know anything at all about the poor (dead) boy in the photo, or his grieving family? I have dealt with gang member in Bromley. The council are completely wrong!! Penge Block, as far as I am aware are still around, so are SNG (Shanks n Guns), and so are the Lewisham Boys. There are many splinter gangs too. The Albanian gang seems to have gone away after pro-active policing about three years ago. They were a big problem, but we hardly ever see any of them now. Although the gangs aren't based in Bromley, they still come onto the Borough selling drugs, committing robberies etc etc.
