Post-mortem of Bromley murder victim inconclusive
5:25pm Monday 12th November 2012 in News By Heloise Wood
THE post-mortem of a suspected murder victim from Bromley has proved inconclusive.
David Whitehead died on November 7 at Kings College Hospital, Denmark Hill, eight days after police believe he was involved in a fight in Bromley.
The 49-year-old had gone to hospital and received treatment for his injuries and before being readmitted on November 3.
A murder investigation was launched after his death and it is now thought he was assaulted in Tweedy Road, Bromley.
A post-mortem examination took place on November 8 at Greenwich Mortuary but proved inconclusive.
Police say they are awaiting the results of further tests.
Four men, aged 37, 41, 43 and 45, and a 30-year-old woman were arrested in connection with the investigation.
They have been bailed to early December pending further enquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 020 8721 4906.
