A 25-YEAR-OLD man will appear in court next week after a man allegedly had chemicals thrown in his face before being stabbed in the back with a fork at a Gravesend restaurant.
Dean Mayze, of High Street, Strood, appeared via virtual link at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday (November 7).
He has been charged with grievous bodily harm and actual bodily harm and was remanded in custody.
Mayze will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday (November 15) for a preliminary hearing.
Police were called by ambulance staff just after 6pm on November 4 to The Copperfield, in Gravesend Road.
It is alleged that a 26-year-old Gravesend man had a liquid substance sprayed in his face before being stabbed in the back with a fork.
He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital and remains in an intensive treatment unit.
