St Mary’s Long Ditton will hold the official opening of its new Diamond Jubilee Community Garden.
The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, November 13, at 11am in the presence of the mayor of Elmbridge Councillor Janet Turner, the Bishop of Guildford and the Archdeacon of Dorking.
There will be an opportunity to see some of the children and adults using the new facility and to acknowledge the generosity of the benefactors whose funding has made it possible.
The project has been funded by the community with substantial grants from the Big Lottery Fund, Elmbridge Council and Surrey County Council.
The new garden and play area will be of benefit to people of all ages and abilities within the community.
