A CAR caught fire after a head on collision between a black Kia Picanto and purple Volkswagan Golf at Shepherds Lane in Dartford.
Two fire engines, two ambulances, police and an air ambulance were sent to the scene at around 1:40pm.
A man in his 20s was taken by ambulance to Darent Valley Hospital as a priority patient.
He was complaining of back and chest pains and is believed to have dislocated his knee.
One woman was also cut out of her vehicle and taken to King's College Hospital.
One side of the road was blocked and Princes Road and Shepherds Lane were both closed.
