New sprint track coming to Brooklands, Weybrdge

If you fancy yourself as the new Usain Bolt, head down to Brooklands Community Park to have a go on the new 100m sprint track.
Join budding athletics stars Sophie and Sam Mace as they show off their talent and skills on the track and earn a medal just for taking part.
Mayor of Elmbridge Councillor Janet Turner will also be there to open the track and cheer the young champions on.
Sophie and Sam both train at Walton Athletics Club and have won many awards between them.
Sophie topped the podium at the Aviva Sportshall UK Championships finals in April and won the Elmbridge Junior Sports Personality of the Year Award in 2010, while Sam is one of the top U13 junior athletes in the country, regularly winning gold and silver at local championships.
The new sprint track at Brooklands Community Park, Weybridge launches at 10am on Tuesday, October 30. For more information, visit elmbridge.gov.uk/parks.
