HARROW: Man arrested on tube line

A 53-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of trespassing and possession of a bladed instrument after stepping onto the tracks between two tube stations.

Services on the Metropolitan Line had to be part suspended earlier today while police attempted to catch the man between Northwick Park and Preston Road stations.

Officers were called at around 12.30pm. They were able to return control of the tracks to Transport for London just after 1pm.

There were severe delays on the rest of the line.
