HARROW: Bus bursts into flames

The back of a double decker bus caught fire as it was being driven along a main road in Rayners Lane.
Black smoke filled the top deck of the H12 bus and flames engulfed the back seat when it caught on fire yesterday.
As flames burst out of the top window, the driver realised the danger and evacuated the passengers from the bus on to the pavement, in Alexandra Avenue.
Selladurai Mohanasundaram, director of Goran Gates Estate Agents, saw the drama unfold at around 1.30pm, and took this dramatic photo as firefighters came to the rescue.
The fire was put out within half an hour and the cause of the blaze is now under investigation.
