King re-elected as Amersham Mayor

MARTIN King has been re-elected to serve a second year as Mayor of Amersham.

Councillor King was voted into the position again this evening following a nomination from Amersham Town Councillor Eamonn Flynn.

Accepting the position, Councillor King said: "I am honoured by this election and thank the members of this council who have tonight given me the opportunity to serve the people of this town as Mayor for another year.

"I will continue to do my utmost to be a good ambassador for Amersham."

Speaking of the work he planned to do in the coming year, he said: "I will deal with the issues, not personalities."

Councillor King said his chosen charity for this year was the Amersham Hospital charity Scannappeal.
