Woman raped while jogging

Police are hunting a man who raped a jogger in a secluded area in West Drayton.

The suspect stopped the 21-year-old woman as she jogged along Swan Road by asking her for a light, at around 11pm on Saturday, April 26.

He grabbed her from behind and dragged her to a nearby patch of grass where he raped her.

After the attack the woman shouted for help and the attacker ran off. She made her way to a nearby bus stop where another man, spotting her distress, paid for her bus fare and escorted her home.

Officers are very keen to speak to the man who assisted the victim.

Anyone with information can contact Hillingdon Police on 0208 246 1761, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
