A man has been charged following an acid attack in Golders Green that left a woman seriously burnt.
Stefan Sylvestre, 19, of Chaplain House, Shepherds Bush, was arrested on Friday in connection with an assault on a 24-year-old woman in Golders Green Road on March 31.
The woman was treated by paramedics at the scene for severe burns to her face, upper body and hands and was taken by ambulance to a central London hospital, where she continues to receive treatment.
Sylvestre appeared at Hendon Magistrates Court yesterday charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.
He was remanded in custody to appear again in court on a date to be arranged.
