Man shot at Wandsworth bus stop

An 18-year-old man has been shot at a Wandsworth bus stop.

The teen, who is in a stable condition at a south London hospital, was shot in the shoulder at the stop in Garratt Lane at the junction with Haldane Place on Saturday night.

The victim had been waiting at the stop with at least one other person when at around 11.30pm he was approached by a man who shot him and then left the scene.

Officers from the Met's Operation Trident described the suspect as a black man who was wearing dark clothing and a bandana.

Detectives are keeping an open mind about the shooting's motive.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 020 8733 4774 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
