Two youths have admitted their involvement in the fight which led to the death of Southgate College student Abdul Osman.

Marcus Oranu, 18, and Mohammed Mollany, 19, pleaded guilty to violent disorder at the Old Bailey on Thursday last week. They had previously denied the charge. Oranu, of Appleby Close and Mollany, of Forest Gardens, both in Tottenham, were remanded in custody and will be sentenced at the conclusion of the trial.

Mr Osman, 18, was allegedly knifed in the neck and chest by 20-year-old Bodrul Miah outside Southgate Tube station on September 13 last year. It is claimed he used a blade handed to him in a chocolate bar wrapper by Ryan Reid, 19. Both deny murder charges. Along with Avanash Aubeelack, 20, they deny violent disorder and affray.

Four men remain on trial in connection with the attack on Abdul, his 23-year-old brother Mustafa Osman and cousin Mohammed Abdullah. Reid, of Appleby Close, Miah, of Ascot Road and Aubeelack, of Gladesmore Road, all in Tottenham, also deny the attempted wounding of Mustafa Osman.

Miah's father, Basharath, 46, also of Ascot Road, denies perverting the course of justice. The trial continues.
