Epsom & Ewell North neighbourhood policing team
- PC Daniel Doherty
- Hi I am PC Dan Doherty, I have been the Neighbourhood Officer in the Stoneleigh, Auriol and Cuddington wards for 6-5 years. During this time I have met many of you and anyone new to this web page can contact me directly via my e-mail. My aim this year will be to stop Anti Social Behaviour and to build on Neighbourhood Watch. If you are keen on having Neighbourhood Watch in your street then contact PCSO Graham Freeman or PCSO Chris Wright
- PC Mark Simpson
-
I am Police Constable Mark Simpson and I am your Neighbourhood Specialist Officer for the Epsom North area which incorporates the wards of Stoneleigh, Cuddington and Auriol. I joined the police service in November 2007 working for Kent Police Special Constabulary in the seaside towns of East Kent. I returned to Surrey in February 2010 to take up employment as a Police Support Officer working alongside the East Surrey Divisional Response Teams until February 2012 when I became a warranted police officer. I have been fortunate in now being posted to the Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team based at Epsom Police Station, and I believe the role of Neighbourhood police officer is one of the best and most rewarding in the service. As such I look forward to meeting you out and about and working with you and our partner agencies to tackle crime, disorder, anti-social behaviour and addressing other quality of life issues that affect you and our area. Please don’t hesitate to approach me when you see me out on patrol should you want to discuss or bring any crime or policing matter to my attention; or share with me any information or intelligence on crime or criminals which will be treated in confidence and in turn will best support the impacts your local police can have in making your community a safer place to live, work and visit.

- PCSO Penny Newman
- I started in Surrey Police in 2004 as a PCSO in Epsom Town Central Safer Neighbourhood Team which is a long time. I have a good knowledge of the local area as well as other areas within Epsom and Ewell. Since I started, PCSO's were a fairly new concept and the public I felt were unsure of our policing role within the community. Over the years we have increased in numbers and due to this we have seen a decrease in anti-social behaviour especially where alcohol and young persons are concerned. Many people now come up and tell me that PCSO's are a good thing and to keep doing what we are doing. I have seen many young people grow up and move on to good things in their lives. I really enjoy my job and really love working with my colleagues. If you see me in your area, come and say hello whether that’s a chat or you need to tell me something that you are concerned about. My colleagues and I are here to assist you.
- PCSO Christopher Wright
- I have been working as a PCSO for Surrey Police since Januray 2009. For my first year of service I worked on North West Epsom and Ewell covering the Watersedge Estate and surrounding areas. I have recently moved onto West Ewell where I will be working closely with PC McDougall and PCSO Pearson. My aim is to conduct high visibility patrols in the area to cut down on the Anti Social Behaviour that occurs in the area and also to reduce the risk of any more serious offences by making a presence in the area which will deter the possible offenders. When you see me out and about please feel free to approach me and ask any questions which concern you and the area and I will hopefully be able to answer them for you. If you have any concerns please feel free to ring the Safer Neighbourhood Team and we will be happy to help.
