Dir: Robbie Fraser
With: Ross Finbow, James Young, Edward Tudor-Pole

Robbie Fraser's made-in-Scotland comedy arouses mixed feelings. Half of you admires the obvious effort that has gone into getting the thing made. The other half wants to shake everyone concerned firmly by the throat for not doing a better job of it. Glaswegian Ralph (Ross Finbow) is a gamer, one of those dungeons and dragons types yet to discover dating. At university he hooks up with guys and a girl and the group proceeds to act out Tolkienesque fantasies while doing a little growing up along the way. A couple of amusing moments, most of them perpetrated by James Young's charming ned, Lennie. Those aside, Gamerz has all the dramatic finesse of a school play.
