Monthly jazz sessions bring Soho to South London
A slice of Soho is being brought to South London as a series of jazz acts are set to perform.
The jazz sessions are launching this month, with artists performing during the evening in The Lost Society, Wandsworth Road, Clapham.
Daytime shows will also be taking place in the venue, as well as in sister pub The Lost Angel, in Battersea Park Road, Battersea.
Jazz lovers can experience the cream of the London jazz scene, with many top names who regularly play Ronnie Scotts and the 606 Club on the line-up.
Visitors can expect to see the likes of Georgia Mancio, Emma Smith and TJ Johnson all playing slots in August.
On August 12 there will be a performance from West London bassist Tim Thornton, while up-and-coming jazz singer Louise Dodds takes to the stage on August 26.
Pianist Gabriel Latchin is showcasing his tunes during a day time Lost Angel show on August 5.
The British jazz scene newcomer is influenced by the likes of Bill Evans and Herbie Hancock, while being recognised as one of the country's leading pianists.
Each show is free for anybody dining or drinking in both venues, although it is recommended to book if you are planning on eating.
A new club night is running from August 10 to compliment the shows.
Speakeasy nights are taking place in The Lost Society, featuring live jazz bands and cabaret every Friday.
