Young people in Brent are voting for members of the youth parliament this week.
Polls open today for the borough’s young people to select members of Brent Youth Parliament (BYP) to represent them, and current members of the body are calling on their peers to take part.
Fatima Kanji, 18, from Kingsbury High School, the current chair of the BYP, said: "It has been a roller-coaster ride of a year for me.
“I'm proud of the work BYP has done and thankful for all the amazing opportunities I have had as the chair. It is clear that if young people put their minds to it we can make a change."
Members meet every month at Brent Town Hall, in Forty Lane, where they discuss issues affecting the lives of young people.
They then take their concerns to the borough’s councillors and MPs.
Anyone aged between ten and 19 is elligible to vote.
