HARROW: Councillor in court on public sex claims

A councillor facing gay sex allegations is expected to enter a plea today.
Cllr Robert Benson, of Harrow Weald ward, was charged with sexual activity with a 56-year-old man in a public toilet in Rayners Lane and is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court this morning.
He last appeared at the court on Wednesday last week, but the 41-year-old's case was adjourned to allow him to apply for legal aid.
