Nine-year-old artist rewarded for sailing design
A nine-year-old artist has been short-listed for a design prize after he drew up a Dennis the Menace themed sailing boat.
Tommy Middleton, of Elmcote Way, took part in a colouring competition at the Just for Fun Out of School Club.
His design for Topper boats came in the top ten of around 200 entries.
As a reward, he and his family have been sent tickets to the London International Boat Show for a chance to win further prizes.
Eileen Branney, of Just for Fun, said: “We are all very proud of Tommy, he always makes us laugh, and his love of the Beano is a source of huge fun with all of us.”
