PUB regulars have stripped off for charity this Christmas by producing a cheeky 2006 calendar.

The Royal Oak, in Frieth Road, Bovingdon Green, has made its own calendar with regulars and staff posing in the nude.

But the pub has spared people's blushes by keeping their private parts covered up through creative means, including pints of Guinness.

The calendar, dubbed The Royal Oak Calendar 2006, was set to be released for sale on Thursday at the Marlow Late Night Shopping event.

The pub has dedicated the project to the Make Poverty History campaign, which targets third world debt. The calendar features a member of staff each month.

Trasna Rice-Giff, 30, landlady of the pub, posed for March because her birthday is on St Patrick's Day.

She said: "I was absolutely petrified when doing it. I just wish March didn't have 31 days in it because that is how long people will be staring at it.

"It was a large amount of fun. The out-takes are going to be hilarious. "

The idea for the calendar came from assistant manager, Peggy Davies, who persuaded local photographer, Chris Parry, 49, to get involved.

The pub chose a day in October to do the shoot, and Mrs Davies, 30, had to endure being covered in a pool of peanuts for her photo.

The pub has also secured sponsorship for each month of the calendar.

It also features regulars, Ray and Pearl Knapp, who have been going to the pub for 40 years.

Mr Knapp, 75, a former lecturer of Pound Lane, Marlow, said: "I wanted a photo anyway to send to my family as a joke Christmas card.

"But in the end they asked us to pose for this calendar."

Photographer Mr Parry, of Freith Road, Marlow, said: "I was saying after the shoot that people looked great.

"I didn't realise at the time because I was focused doing the pictures."
