Five Albanian pimps have been jailed for 63 years for forcing a 19-year-old Lithuanian virgin to have sex with ten men on her first day as a captive prostitute in west London.

The gang also smuggled two other Lithuanian girls, aged 16 and 19, into the UK and made them work as unpaid prostitutes.

Masterminds Agron Demarku, 22, and Izzet Fejzullahu, 32, were convicted of trafficking and prostitution offences along with Demarku's brothers Flamur, 34, and Bedri, 22.

A fourth Demarku brother, Xhevair, 29, pleaded guilty before the trial.

Southwark Crown Court heard how the gang bought naive girls from other traffickers who lured them to the UK with promises of bar and bakery work.

In a four month undercover operation police uncovered seven of their brothels in Hounslow, where at least 21 women lived.

Although some chose to work there as prostitutes, the two Lithuanian girls were made available to clients around the clock - seeing as many as 15 a day.

One of them was a virgin so inexperienced that the other women had to tell her what intercourse meant, what she had to do and how to use a condom.

The same day Fejzullahu and Agron Demarku forced her to have sex with ten men, despite knowing her state and the increasing pain.

Missing girl

Officers got wind of the scam when they started searching for a 16-year-old girl who disappeared last November after she left her native Siauliai, north Lithuania, with two men.

The pair paid for her flight to London, but on arrival traffickers took her identity card.

At first she was sold to a brothel in Sheffield, which did not make her work due to her age. She was returned to her captors at Gatwick Airport and promised that she would be taken home.

Instead they resold her to the Albanians.

They forced her to work seven days a week at £40 to £100 an hour, and took every penny of the £300 to £800 she made each day.

The nightmare ended on 16 December, after five weeks in captivity. A once-off money transfer of £100 to her mother led police to a brothel at 73A Kingsley Road, Hounslow.

Six other brothels were later unearthed at 14 Mauveine Gardens, 138 Pears Road, 9 Perkin Close, 67 Hanworth Road, 77 Heath Road, and 36A Bell Road.

The gang advertised in weekly local papers, offering to take the women to clients. Once Agron Demarku rang to complain about a misprint, claiming it was costing him £1,000 a day.

Yesterday Agron and Flamur Demarku have each been sentenced to 18 years, while their brothers Bedri and Xhevair got eight and five years respectively. Fajzullahu was jailed for 14 years.

Bedri Demarku has been cleared of one charge of causing sex without consent.

Detective Supt David Eyles, from the Met's Clubs and Vice unit, said: "This gang of men preyed on the vulnerability of these Lithuanian women, luring them into this country then holding them against their will and forcing them to work as prostitutes.

"These young women have been traumatised by their exploitation, and in the one case had their first sexual experience under these horrendous circumstances.

"The seriousness of these offences cannot be understated."
