Ponyo, loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid, is a hand-drawn feature-length film. This ART OF book includes not only cell artwork, but also striking watercolour and pastel concept sketches and layout pages. The book also has interviews with production principals about their daring choice to hand draw a film in the age of CGI and the screenplay completes the package.

Arrietty
Adapted from Mary Norton's much loved classic ‘The Borrowers’, the latest film from world-renowned Japanese animation house Studio Ghibli is a delight. It is the story of a miniature family who co-exist in a house with their full-grown counterparts and of the adventures experienced by young Arrietty as she wanders around the gargantuan world, striking up a friendship with the ailing Sho. The film was scripted by the Oscar-winning director of Spirited Away, Hayao Miyazaki.
