Death Notice

Dorothy Pearce

Published on 27/06/2017

We announce with sadness the passing of my mother Dorothy Pearce who had enjoyed an extraordinary and happy life. She fell asleep in death in West Middlesex Hospital at 10.45am Tuesday 13th June 2017 after a short illness following surgery for a broken hip. All who knew Dorothy will be saddened at her passing and she will be sorely missed. There is no right time to die but Dorothy lived her life to the full even after having retired from many years as Office Manager at Ultralux Window Systems and suffering with loss of sight she maintained an extremely positive approach to life and her interest in politics, religion and our business at Ultralux remained as keen as ever quizzing me regularly on events and progress. People who knew Dorothy will not be surprised to learn that it was less than four weeks ago that she sold her last job for Ultralux, a folding door to a district nurse who visited at White Farm Lodge Care home in Whitton where Dorothy lived the last few years of her life. We would like to thank the staff at both White Farm Lodge and West Middlesex Hospital for the unswerving care and attention that they have given my mother over an extended period. They could not have been kinder. As a family we feel unbelievably blessed to have had Dorothy as my mother and to my late sister, Linda, and as a grandmother to Marc and Lydia. As my business partner she was quite simply sensational. Dorothy always allowed me to think I was running the business when in fact everyone knew it was really her. Dorothy was a truly remarkable woman who would stop at nothing to help and befriend people. She is simply irreplaceable. Funeral taking place on 28th June at 10am at South West Middlesex Crematorium, Hanworth. Enquiries to Andrew Holmes Funeralcare 020 8744 1125
