An MP has welcomed a fall in the number of people claiming Jobseekers Allowance in his constituency.
The number of unemployed claimants in Harrow East for February was 1,235, a fall of 397 compared to the same month last year.
The news followed last week's Budget from Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne.
Bob Blackman, the Conservative MP for Harrow East said: “There can be no doubt that we are moving in the right direction, helping people back into employment and supporting their aspirations.
“Our improving economy is fueling businesses, which in turn is providing more opportunities for work.”
