A brand new nursery is set to open in Bromley, run by an “award-winning” childminder.

Teamara Adams is opening Bonding School Nurseries in Cameron Road after quitting her job to build the business.

She registered Bonding School in 2013 after “a lightbulb moment” she had whilst working as an SEN teaching assistant.

A spokesperson for the nursery told the News Shopper that “communications with a range of children, constantly had her questioning her path - how she bonded with her family, what she felt was missing, and what she could do to make a difference for other families.”

Teamara is “passionate” about raising her own “happy, educated and loving family” as well as being a “devoted” carer and educator to the other children and families in her life.

The idea behind Bonding School was born in in her twin’s bedroom where she first piloted family sessions to groups of her friends.

After starting this and putting her passion for encouraging families to bond into motion, Teamara was driven to do “intense research” and eventually quit her day job.

She learned about a range of skills and had lots of encouragement from other parents.

While “quitting her job did not come lightly” as it was one that she loved, she actually ran into some childcare issues of her own which only spurred her to move forwards with the business venture.

Teamara gained funding for Bonding School during half-term and she ran into some challenges with childcare which she interpreted “as a sign”.

At this point, she had been a registered childminder for seven years working alongside other “passionate assistants”, including her partner, Gavin.

Whilst running Bonding School, a spokesperson told the News Shopper that they become oversubscribed and they decided to take a “leap of faith” and open their first nursery, Bonding School Nurseries.
